2011 IOM Bay Festival will have you Spelbound by their ‘Early Birds’!
Following hot on the heels of the success of this year’s Manx Telecom Bay Festival the organisers have announced that they have already finalised the line-up for next year’s ‘X Factor Meets Britain’s Got Talent’. With over 8,000 in attendance this year the organisers have been inundated with requests asking when next years will be on sale as no one wants to miss out.
Jonathan Irving co-event promoter with his son Jamie said: “The Father’s Day spectacular starring Olly Murs, Diversity, Danyl Johnson, Signature, Stavros Flately etc went down a storm. I was backstage looking out at the audience and the excitement and enthusiasm for the whole event was like nothing I had seen before. So we decided to strike while the iron was still hot and build on the success by releasing next year’s tickets next week, which is again on Father’s Day.”
Jamie Irving said: “we decided to make it even more fun and keep the interest going right through. Therefore based on the fact that no one had heard of Olly Murs or Danyl Johnson at this time last year we have decided that whoever finishes 2nd and 3rd on this year’s X Factor they will be appearing on the Bay Festival stage on 19th June next year. So watch closely! In addition we are excited to say we have booked the winners of this year’s Britain’s Got Talent, Spelbound plus runners up Twist and Pulse and to compere and perform his own inimitable act will be impersonator and comedian and BGT finalist Paul Burling.
Jamie concluded by saying that: “the one and only Stacey Solomon will also be performing and to make it even more exciting we are asking people to vote for their most popular artist from this year’s XF/BGT. Whoever wins the popular vote will be invited back as part of the line-up for the Father’s Day extravaganza. People will be able to vote next week through our website: www.bayfestival.im “
Tickets for the X Factor/BGT will go on sale next Thursday 8th July from 8am to those who have purchased any tickets for this year’s Manx Telecom Bay Festival. Those lucky people will receive an access code on Wednesday allowing them to purchase on Thursday with general sale opening up at 8am on Friday 9th.
At the same time those who wish to make ‘Early Bird’ deposits for other performances during the festival or purchase all weekend festival passes all with extra benefits and discounts until 31st July can do so through the website as from next week. To accommodate parties or people who prefer to pay by cheque the organisers will be able to accept this form of payment as long as the booking is made and the cheque received within 5 days. Jonathan said: “we decided to simplify things next time and just have 3 different ticket types: VIP, seat and stand. Also we have taken 10 rows of seats off at the back of the blocks which means standing is much closer to the stage and all the seating area will be fully controlled by mojo barriers.”

Premiile MTV Europe Music Awards 2009
Gala de decernare a premiilor MTV Europe Music Awards a avut loc in 5 Noiembrie 2009, la Berlin, locatie aleasa special pentru a marca cea de-a 20-a aniversare a caderii Zidului Berlinului. Gazda acestui eveniment a fost Katy Perry.
Cantareata americana Katy Perry, gazda premiilor MTV pentru al doilea an consecutiv, a sustinut un numar inspirat din filmul “Cabaret”, a carui actiune se petrece in Berlinul anilor 1930.
Trupa irlandeza U2 a castigat, ieri seara, premiul MTV pentru “Cea mai buna trupa live” si a sustinut un concert gratuit, pentru circa 10000 de fani, in fata Portii Brandenburg din Berlin, orasulul in care a avut loc prima gala MTV Europe Music Awards, in 1994. Printre piesele cantate s-a numarat si “One”, imnul inspirat de caderea Zidului Berlinului, in 1989.
Marea castigatoare a galei premiilor MTV a fost Beyonce. Aceasta a castigat la categoriile “Cea mai buna cantareata”, “Cel mai bun cantec” (Hallo) si “Cel mai bun videoclip” (Single Ladies(Put a ring on it)). Sotul lui Beyonce, rapperul Jay-Z a fost desemnat “Cel mai bun artist urban”.
Lady Gaga, singurul artist solo care a fost nominalizata pentru cinci categorii, a reusit sa castige doar trofeul pentru “Cel mai bun artist debutant”.

Madonna a primit o lectie de la romani
Sambata seara la Sofia Madonna nu a mai repetat discursul despre discriminare. Concluzia: concertul a fost o reusita, fara fluieraturi, fara nemultumiri din public. Toata lumea a fost incantata de prestatia ei. Desi publicul a insistat dupa aparitia insemnului Game Over, Madonna nu le-a mai acordat nici un bis deoarece a plecat direct la aeroport cu directia Tel Aviv.
La noi in tara a stat de marti pana sambata si din pacate a fost primita cu multa raceala si animozitate. Nu am vazut nici un mesaj de la fani, nu am vazut nici un Tribute facut de posturi de radio sau de televiziuni, asa cum am vazut in alte tari. In afara de a fi pandita de paparazzi, de altceva nu a avut parte cat a stat in Bucuresti.
In Bulgaria a stat numai cateva ore cat a durat concertul si a avut parte de o primire fastuoasa, de mesaje de recunostinta, de multumiri, de recunoastere a talentului de a crea un spectacol grandios.
Nu gasesc o explicatie logica la aceasta atitudine ostila a romanilor, care de altfel s-a amplificat dupa fluieraturile si huiduielile din timpul concertului. Cu cateva exceptii articolele aparute in presa, pe bloguri s-au incadrat in aceleasi limite ale nemultumirii generale.

Madonna concerteaza diseara la Bucuresti
In Parcul Izvor peste 60000 de oameni vor participa la spectacolul extraordinar care va incepe dupa orele 20,00.
Madonna calatoreste insotita de un staff foarte numeros, de prietenul ei in varsta de 22 de ani si de cei patru copii ai sai pentru care s-au creat locuri speciale de joaca. Trandafiri albi si rosii, matasuri, apa sfintita, bucatari proprii, sunt doar cateva dintre cerintele speciale ale divei.
Madonna si-a serbat implinirea varstei de 51 de ani la Varsovia cand toata lumea i-a cantat “La Multi Ani”.
La implinirea varstei de cincizeci de ani Madonna a declarat ca varsta ei spirituala este 36, cu paisprezece ani mai putin decat varsta reala.

Elena Gheorghe va merge la Moscova – Eurovision Romania 2009
Elena Gheorghe cu melodia “The balkan girls” este câştigătoarea Selecţiei Naţionale Eurovision 2009 şi va reprezenta România la cea de-a 54-a ediţie a Eurovision Song Contest, care se va desfăşura la Moscova.
Elena Gheorghe a avut cel mai mare punctaj (22p), obţinând 10 puncte în urma votului publicului şi 12 puncte din partea juriului.
